After careful considerations and judging all projects against the criteria of the Award, ECEN has decided the winning project of the Roman Juriga Award 2020 to be:
GreenHouse – Bogafjell Church Youth Ministry in Norway
The selection committee appreciated in particular an innovative approach of the project in reaching out to young generation and to be acknowledged as the first certified green youth ministry in Norway. The project has led to a greater environmental awareness among youth and beyond, while setting an example for others.
The committee further appreciated multidisciplinary character of the project covering several relevant areas pertinent to the Roman Juriga Award such as: Christian environmental education, recycling, ecomanagement, renewable energy, nature conservation and biodiversity protection, transition lifestyles and sustainable transport and travel.
We congratulate representatives of the winning project. The certificate and the plaque for the winner will be awarded at the upcoming ECEN Assembly, which will take place from 29 August – 2 September 2020 in Evangelical Academy Bad Herrenalb, Germany.
