Interfaith Summit on Climate Change
As part of a global effort to mobilize action and ambition on climate change, the United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon is organizing a Climate Summit on 23 September 2014 in New York. In order to highlight the specific contributions that faith traditions bring to the international climate debate, the World Council of Churches and Religions for Peace will organize ahead the UN event an Interfaith Summit on Climate Change, wich will take place also in New York City, on the 21-22 of September.
Thirty religious leaders will come to the summit and commit to being advocates for climate justice and the protection of the earth both at the global and the national level.
